Debra asked me yesterday about the current doings of our lovely Lady in the Window.
After she returned from her mysterious little vacation, she appeared in this beautiful dress to entertain her fans.
She wore this for about a week and a half. Then, getting tired of the same look, she slipped into what I thought was an extremely dowdy flowered frock and frumpy hat for a few days.
It wasn’t her most attractive outfit, so I decided not to embarrass her by showing her off as Harried Housewife.
Then this past Saturday, my son came in and said, “Mom, you have to go see the mannequin!”

When last we left our lovely protagonist, she was wearing her after-Easter finery, including the white fur stole that made us wonder: “What really happened to the Easter bunny?”
But just a few days later, an even darker mystery appeared:
(I knew it. The Bunny was out for revenge!)
The Lady was missing for days. We did everything we could.

My son, when he saw this week’s outfit, wanted to know if that was the Easter Bunny she was wearing.

… in the Easter parade!

Happy Easter to everyone, and may all your chocolate bunnies have extra-big ears.

I love the elegant folds and the rich, heavy texture of this week’s gown. It makes me want to dig out some silk charmeuse and make something absurdly gorgeous with it.

I’m late with the fashion report this week, but I’m happy to say that she was still Wearin’ the Green on Friday.
Raise a Guinness (or a cuppa, as you prefer) to the Lady in the Window.

It was raining stair rods yesterday when I took this picture. But I sallied forth bravely into the storm, risking a recurrence of The Crud, in order to report to you on The Lady’s latest fashion extravaganza.
I wish her shoes were visible. Manolo would be interested.

The Lady in the Window, after the chilly excesses of the week before Valentine’s Day, changed into a much warmer and modestly-attired Gibson Girl on the 15th. This picture was taken on February 21st.
I’ve been waiting for her new outfit, planning to give you a two-fer, but as of yesterday she was still elegant in her turn of the century way.

I missed last weekend’s outfit. My son drove past there on Saturday the 5th and said she was wearing a football referee’s uniform in honor of the Super Bowl. Ah, well. I bet she was cute.
This weekend she is ready for Valentine’s Day:

I’ve put all the Mannequin updates into one category for your viewing pleasure. What will she come up with to entertain us next week?

I wonder who in the world thought up this product, and how they sold it to the people who make marketing decisions, and most of all, who is going to buy it? What need is it supposed to fill?
Scent stories? You play a “story” in five scents? I don’t understand.
ps –I hate smelly things.
